Result of Mirrors

The easiest lie,
Even easier than
"I'm fine"
Is a killer.
My reflection
Is what makes me lie,
What makes me
Ignore the pain,
The growls,
Of my stomach.
Because,
Let's face it,
No one wants to see
A fat,
Ugly,
Teenage girl.
They want a
Skinny,
Sexy,
Beautiful
Young lady.
And how can
I achieve that
If I freely eat?
I can't.
So lie after lie
Assures others I'm okay,
I'm in control,
When I'm not.
Fat.
Hideous.
Ugly.
Unwanted.
That's what I truly am.
Say what you will,
My mind will not change.
Which means that,
With a pained grin,
The easiest lie
Of all to tell
Will once again
Escape my lips:
"No, I'm not hungry."
